I.K. Rig Tests!



Testing out a new I.K. rig by Dr.Spaceman, with a few slight modifications by me.  It works pretty good! Sorry, my animations are a bit rough/clippy. I'm still learning :) Please note, these are not actual scenes yet, I am just simply testing the animations out.

Delays and decisions

*Sigh* So my Resident Evil film is delayed.  Yet Again. God, I freaking suck.

My own fault of course, mostly due to a combination of "real life" getting in the way,  plus there are these new super-amazing Sim rigs that I am experimenting with in Blender @_@

I am also working hard on a lengthy (1 minute) M.E.P part at the moment (Multi Editor Project) and I want to get that finished off and submitted this week (!!!!).

Ahhhh. Anyway......

I am seriously considering dropping $50 on these cool-looking Blender tutorials. Because they look great, and seem to cover some pretty important animation fundamentals. Should I get it? Is it worth it?

"Any Time But Now" Screenshots

Here's a few screenshots from my machinima project I have been working on.  The two main sims are made by the very talented Mura 

This machinima is based on the Resident Evil series, focusing on the "complicated" relationship between Ada Wong and Leon S.Kennedy. The story is mostly set in-between games in their personal and professional lives.

This machinima is about 80% "in the can" and already has about 50+ custom animations, but I still have a couple more scenes to both film and animate. I am hoping to finish this up soon. (Actually I've got to  finish this soon, as I have projects stacking up.)

Anyway,  I'm hoping to release this in November. I'm trying to make it as non-sucky as possible, but I will let the youtube "dislike bar" be the judge of that.

Time to Vote



Ahhh. I'm bummed I couldn't make it it time for SIFF, but I'm enjoying catching up on all the films. There were some very nice ones this year! :)

I have a few more to watch before I vote. For some reason my stupid Australian internet wont let me access simatography at the moment. I wanna vote soon though! XD

Anyway.... my film is coming... and it's probably gonna be sucky (and short) but I just need to bloody finish it. 

I just need to keep kicking my own arse, I suppose.

In the meantime, Here's a few animations which will be in my film. Something to look at in this barren wasteland of a blog, I guess.

SIFF Film Delayed

Sadly, I'm not going to make it in time for SIFF on the 15th of Sept.

All the technical problems I have been having recently has really set me back, even though I have been working my butt off trying to get it done in time.

It will be a few more days at least, or possibly a week until it is done. Plus, my own "fussiness" is delaying it even further. Not even going to bother with a trailer, I'm just going to upload the film once it's done.

Sorry :'(


P.S.

Mini-rant:
I'm 95% sure I'm going to switch to bootcamp after this.
Absolutely fed-up with the utter B.S. of the Mac version. Don't get me wrong, I love Mac OSX, but Cider is total garbage, and buggy as hell. EA should be ashamed for even putting it in there.  / end rant.

Gonna take me awhile to rebuild, because I am seriously horrible at building.
I'm actually not sure if I'm going make it in time for SIFF, because of all the technical problems I have been having, but I will try my hardest.

My first object custom content ^_^

Having lots of fun converting objects into accessories for my machinima! <3 Thanks to Cloudwalker for the great tutorial.


I've made a few mistakes though, as can be expected. This is what happens when I mess up the textures, hehe XD

Anyway, 3 or 4 more props to do, then I'm done with props!

Then, back to animating... (which I have been procrastinating massively on, omg!).

I seriously feel like smashing up all my Sims 3 CDs right now. *gives crazy stare*

But I won't. I'll just experience it vicariously through this video.


Just imagine it's The Sims 3. It's making me feel better.

Custom Animations in-progress

I've been practically living in Blender lately -_-

It is certainly a love/hate relationship right now, but I won't bore you with the details :)

Here are a few teaser pics from three animations I have made recently. These are for my upcoming SIFF (Sims International Film Festival) entry for SIFF fall 2013.
The animations are little stiff, but they have reached the "meh, that's good enough" stage, and y'know, I'm ok with that.




I still have a crap-ton of animations still to do though. I want to try and get them all done within the next few weeks.

I've given myself a quota of at least 4 new custom animations this weekend, most of them are "reaction" animations. Hopefully I can make that target. I've got a few more "couple" animations coming up too. They will probably be quite painful ... er... fun to make. <3

It's been a looong time since I had any sort of blog, so I might be a bit rusty at this.
